Hi Chris and Tammy,

Just wanted to let you know how happy I am with the Fresh Breeze Simonini.
We had a unseaonably warm 51 degree day yesterday and I got into the air for
an hour or so. I REALLY like this motor. With my 160 lb flying weight
(winter clothes and all) and a 25 Square Meter Eden II, I can get almost 4
hours on a tank full of gas. It runs nice and cool compared to my old
Lamouette too. Typically, the CHT hangs around 325 F. unless I'm climbing.
Even then it seldom goes much above 375 F. The combination of quiet running
and power is just great. It took me a while to get used to launching with
the soft J-Bars, but even my low/no wind take-offs are pretty reliable now.
The weight shift capability with the soft J-Bars is also very nice. I'm
able to fly in this colder weather with my hands in my lap... it makes for
much warmer flights. On New Years day, 3 of us went flying and it was 19 F.
at launch and I still managed a fairly comfortable 1 hour flight.

Thanks for all your help. Have a great new year!

Hi Chris,

I had the pleasure of flying the new attachment system on the Simo122
yesterday. I have to tell you it was better than I even expected it to
be. Very comfortable and the torque absorption was great. My student,
although has nothing to compare it with, was so excited about the
comfort and the way the whole system works. I have to say that this is
perhaps the best unit in the market right now.

Chris & Tammy:
Many thanks for your hospitality during my recent short visit to pick up my
new motor. I thoroughly enjoyed flying your new field. That is one of the
greatest flying sites I've ever seen. The rolling terrain is so varied and
beautiful and it has a ton of good landing spots. I was also amazed by the
360 degree downhill launch feature...remarkable! I hope you get to enjoy
that site for many years to come, and count me in if you ever have a fly-in.
Last night I had perhaps the most enjoyable sunset flight of my somewhat
checkered paramotoring career. The takeoff out my little field was
awesome..jetpropelled compared to what I was used to. In the past I had to
circle twice just to clear the trees!
I boated around for an hour or so at 4900 rpm. The cruise control feature is really a huge plus...not just for the hands off times, but in regular cruise as well. I found I could set the throttle at low cruise and leave the throttle in my hand but with no pressure on the handle... very nice. A slight tap of the finger would adjust the rpm by 100 or so. A very nice feature indeed.

The quiet was remarkable and I felt totally at ease for once... I'm tired of constantly looking for forced landing areas. I hope the combination of lower RPM, better cooling, and improved carburetion will yield vastly improved
reliability for me. Let's face it... I was sucking the guts out my Adventure units.

Anyway, I'm a happy camper. I'm looking forward to some great air time with
my Air Boss and I'm glad to know you're there if I need support.

Many Thanks!

Chris, I was flying around two guys that had Walker Jets and one with a Fly Product (I think it was a 130) all using Simonini motors. I don't know how the motors matched as far as power goes but the FB was by far the best looking unit and the others were very very noisy.

Motor is running great!
Incredible climb out! Just for reference I'm 205 lb. or 215 with clothes, helmet and boots.

I really appreciate your patient assistance in solving this little problem. There might be one or two other brands that could credibly claim to compare to FB in quality and performance, but I doubt anything sold in America has comparable technical support.

I'm really enjoying that fresh Breeze Air Boss. For the first time in 6 years I'm relaxed and confident that my motor (barring the occasional Murphy's Law occurrence) will get me there and back again. The motor starts effortlessly every time, and the design excellence is apparent in every aspect of the machine. The motor literally kicks my lard ass (215 lb.) off the ground, then cruises quietly at low RPM (4800). That medium Silex is a gem of a wing, sporty yet very easy to inflate in zero wind. It never ceases to amaze me that the Silex is my first choice in zero wind, as well as my first choice in the heavy beach blows that are so much fun to hover in. I can't figure out why all these guys are debating the issue.....I've been down that road for years and I've finally come to the realization that the perfect package is a Fresh Breeze Air Boss and a medium Silex....it just doesn't get much better than that.

Hey Chris and Tammy,
Your school is great I love it down in the south with you guys you made me feel welcome like a member of a big family not like some other schools I have seen in my travels. Your instruction on motors and free flight is top notch. I hope to have many more flights with ya.

Chris,

2 other Pilots where with me last Saturday. Neither motor would run. Needless to say they weren't Freesh Breezes. Both Pilot were not to happy with me and my F/B having all the fun.

Hi Chris and Tammy,

I am enjoying my motor upgrades. I previously had a climb rate of 150 ft/min, but when the muffler had an internal short circuit it went down to 110 ft/min. It takes awhile to climb out of the field at that rate. With the new expansion chamber and muffler the climb rate went up to 175 ft/min. I then installed a 49x18 propeller in place of the 48x21 that I had been using. I could tell things were different. With the new propeller and muffler the climb rate is 250 ft/min. WOW! Thanks for all of your support and assistance.

Hello Chris,
We're still flying. My little solo is still going strong with well over a thousand hours. I'm still using the motor to valley thermal and have logged some nice spring time soaring flights already this year.

Hello Chris,
We had a pretty successful entry into the sky this week. I haven’t had as much eye-popping fun and exhilarating adrenalin pumping since my first parachute jumps over 35 years ago. PPG combines all that adventure and excitement with the ability to prolong the fun and have more control over your direction. My thanks to Instructor Don Jordan and fellow pilots Len and Jim for all the encouragement and camaraderie along the way. I look forward to many hours in the air with you all.

I was really surprised at the power of the new Simonini Fresh Breeze 122. It lifted me in my Power Atlas wing off the beach in a truly hot rod takeoff. The gear performed great and it was nice to hear the collection of surfers who witnessed my introduction comment on how quiet the machine was. It got a little quieter than planned on my fifth flight. I accidentally smashed the kill switch while trying to get adjusted into the seat. After a quick moment of contemplating the briefness of life, I plucked out the switch which had become sticky with sand owing to some less than inspiring landings; found the pull cord, restarted the motor and continued to enjoy the flight over the coco plantations. Having a lot of beach below with lots of potential landing spots helped with minimize the anxiety of this unplanned training moment. I’m inspired to perfect my new abilities and see you all in the air.

Chris, My Fresh B. Solo 210 has 200 hours on
it as of this past weekend and it runs like a fine tuned Swiss watch. Starts on
the 2nd pull consistently and I love it. While others here at my LZ are having
problems with overheating, electric starter failures and other headaches, I just
give the starter a pull and bingo. Hope they aren't going to change anything on
this unit as I plan on buying another one after this one dies.
